The Shetler Family produces low-temperature pasteurized milk in old fashion style glass bottles to preserve the wholesome goodness of our milk. The milk is NOT HOMOGENIZED so the cream will naturally rise to the top (the way it was meant to).

And yes, all of Shetler's Milk products are guaranteed to be free of any and all hormones and antibiotics. We all know that no matter what you give a cow (antibiotics, hormones, etc.) it will definitely come out in the milk. So you need to ask yourself... What's in your milk?

Pleasanton Brick Oven Breads

Our wood-fired brick oven is the ideal environment for baking bread. The brick oven chamber is fired up many hours before the actual baking. After the coals have turned to ash the hearth is carefully swept and mopped. Hand-shaped loaves are then loaded into the oven with a long baker’s paddle known as a "peel." Before the oven is sealed, water is sprayed into it for a steamy bake.

Time plays an essential role in making Pleasanton Bakery breads so special. We use a natural leavening process which allows the dough to rise slowly. Natural leavening breaks down the indigestible components of grains known as phytic acids, therefore enabling our bodies to maximize the nutritious nature of our bread. This process develops the full flavor of the whole grains without using sweeteners, oils, preservatives, or baker’s yeast.
